For 24 Hour Comic Day a few years ago I wrote and penciled a 24-page Spanker one-shot comic. I inked some of it, but by about 3 am Lisa and I weren't producing anything useful and we decided to throw it in.Posted by Mike Rieger
It sounds all reasonable when I say it now, but at the time we wanted to diiiie.
Anyway, sometime after that I finished inking the thing, and it's sat around until now. The script for Diaperman #14 is written, and Jeremy Thew, the new artist, is hard at work on it, but hopefully this will tide you over in the meantime!
We hope to have both comics ready for the Central Canada Comic-Con in Manitoba at the end of October.
Here's the first page!

Michael got a heck of a nice fan letter from someone who's been reading Diaperman since issue 4, and wondered what it would be like if Diaperman were in the Marvel Universe and met Wolverine. He passed the question on to me.Posted by Mike Rieger
It would be like this.

Hey folks! Be sure to come see us today and tomorrow at the Manitoba Comic Con, in the Artist's Alley, table A31! Diaperman #13 will be available at our table; just look for the giant banner with the diapered superhero on it!Or, if you're not in Manitoba this weekend for some reason--I guess that could be possible--click "related link" below to check out the con's website.

This week I ordered 100 copies of Diaperman 13 from Island Print Services in BC, for roughly the same price as the twenty-two copies I would have gotten from Lulu, if they'd cut them properly. The reason for that is SIPS doesn't do one-print runs (there's a setup charge of $50 for runs lower than 100) and they don't do online stores and ordering the way Lulu does.
So it looks like from now on we'll publish both ways: Lulu, for folks in Connecticut who want to buy just one copy, and SIPS, so I can have physical copies at conventions for a much cheaper rate.
They'll be mailing me a proof copy shortly, and the run should be finished well before Michael leaves for Comic-Con in July. Between wedding plans, and what we went through prior to this year's Calgary Comic Expo, I wanted as much lead time as possible.

Howdy folks!Posted by Mike Rieger
Thing 1: As you may have noticed, the all-new, bloggerific site is live! Updating content will now be easy peasy, and will hopefully take place at a much more than glacial pace.
Thing 2: I (Mike Rieger, the artist) will be at a table in the Artists Alley at Con-Version in Calgary on August 15-17, and both Mike and Michael will be at a table at the Manitoba Comic-Con in Winnipeg on October 10-12. If you're in the neighborhood, come on by!
